On Saturday May 25th via Zoom, the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce Fundraising and Special Events Committee hosted its 1st Virtual Women In Business Seminar under the theme: “Unlocking Potential: Empowering Women for Success in Business”.
Approximately 80 women were able to gain insight from business owners and business executives throughout the Grand Bahama business community.
The seminar was hosted by the lively Jecholiah Braynen, 1st Year Director and Fundraising/Special Events Co chair, GBCC, and DTM Deborah Pratt, founder of DAPS Corporate Training. The seminar was presented in round table style via break out rooms, which provided for a more intimate and engaging experience for the speakers and the audience, allowing the audience to fully participate and engage in the event.
The speakers for the event were an amazing group of successful and inspiring business women, including:
Donna Laing-Jones: Keys Bahamas Realty;
Dr. Charlene Reid: Easy Dental Care;
Nicole Colebrooke: Blair House Le Chateau on the Green;
Davina Rutherford: MYB Bahamas;
Felisha McBride: Grand Bahama Resilience Center.
Some of the feedback by participants include:
Areba Saunders “This was awesome, very inspirational and helpful”
Hida Ingraham-Kempski “Very informative & inspiring”; Joan Ambrister “I totally enjoyed having coffee with you ladies this morning. The speakers were all inspiring and full of information for us. I look forward to networking with all of you.”
