Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) executives met with local heads of the Customs Department this month as part of a series of courtesy calls to various government agencies. Led by 2017 GBCC President Mick Holding, the newly elected Chamber executives expressed a desire to maintain friendly cooperation and open dialogue with the Customs Department, particularly on topics of mutual concern. The GBCC intends to meet with the agency on a quarterly basis to keep informed of regulations and other matters affecting local businesses. Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) executives paid a courtesy call on Assistant Director of Bahamas Immigration Hubert Ferguson this month. The meeting involved talks of the GBCC’s mandate for the year, which includes a commitment to forging stronger bonds with Grand Bahama’s key stakeholders. The 2017 GBCC board members will meet with heads of the Immigration Department quarterly to maintain cordial relations and to discuss any pertinent matters arising throughout the year.
